Product safety: the regulatory affairs department

Our biocidal products are subjected to in-depth studies that are carried out in accordance with international standard protocols by independent, authorised laboratories. These studies are designed not only to demonstrate the efficacy of the products, but above all to assess their effects on the health of humans and animals and on the environment.

Zapi’s Regulatory Affairs department is responsible for drafting dossiers required for the authorisation of products for marketing purpose, in accordance with the new European regulations (Biocidal Products Directive 98/8/EU) and the regulations governing the main worldwide markets we operate in. During 2010 and 2011, the department will concentrate its activities on rodenticides, preparing the data package for 15 products based on the active substances difenacoum, brodifacoum and bromadiolone; over the following three years we will focus on insecticides for domestic and civil use.
